Individuals injured in the workplace face multiple difficulties related to their accidents. Work-related injuries are often both physically and psychologically damaging. Injured workers, in addition to coping with their changes in physical abilities, must deal with the stressful process of dealing with WSIB; psychological impact of changes to both work and home life; changes in physical ability and the loss of functioning; and the inability to engage in work that the individual once found meaningful or depended upon financially.

The clinicians at Andrew Shaul Psychology are experienced in working with individuals affected by workplace injury. We are devoted to assisting people deal with symptoms such as anxiety, recurring frightening memories of their accident, depression, as well as assisting individuals deal with adverse changes to their lives following a workplace injury.

Initial psychological assessments are covered by the WSIB, and, pending approval by the WSIB, ongoing treatment may be covered.
